The EU has in place one of the most robust fisheries control systems globally with traceability being one of its main elements. In light of recent developments, this panel discussion with key European policy-makers, NGOs and representatives from national governments and the fishing industry, will explore ways of addressing current challenges by taking stock of best practices of seafood traceability systems within the EU. The discussion will be supported by a new NGO report related to the collection of key seafood data in an effort to encourage alignment between the EU and major market States.
